We’re the kids who did what we were told: Get good grades, go to college, and get a good paying job.
Well, we got the good grades and went to college but now we’re graduated and can’t find a job. Or we have a job that we could have gotten without a college degree. Not to mention student loans. We have a shit ton of student loans. We have goals. We have dreams. We always did what we were told and we have little to show for it except for a degree hidden somewhere in our closet. Damn, that was an expensive piece of paper!
We’re angry. We’re frustrated. Our pride is hurt. What exactly did we waste 4 years of our life on? Or 8 if you’re me?
But we have something that others our age don’t have: a chip on our shoulders. Maybe it’s time to no longer do what we’re told? Look where that’s gotten us. We seem to be an ambitious group of individuals.
We want more. We want more out of life than working a job we’re over-qualified for just to pay our student loans. We want to stop filling out applications and getting rejection emails. We want to move out of our parents’ house. We want to start a family. Or buy a house. We just want more out of life.
Maybe it’s time we started doing things our way? We don’t want to play the corporate game. We don’t want to participate in the rat race. Maybe we don’t fit in in the conventional work force? Maybe we have certain skills and experience that don’t impress on a resume?
But we have passion. We have ambition. We have a burning desire to take back our time; to take back our lives. We want to go from unemployed or underemployed to being self-employed. We want to start living.
If you’re a round peg that won’t fit in a square hole, welcome! If you like to do things unconventionally, welcome! If you want to get out of debt, welcome! If you want to change the game and play by your own rules, welcome! You’ve found a home.
Here’s some things you’ll learn: How to find more time, how to find more money, how to start a business, how to grow a business, and everything in between.
Everyone else is trying to get rich; we’re just trying to get out of debt. We aren’t focused on retirement; we’re focused on making a living and leading a fulfilled life.
What are you waiting for?
